A GOOD DC POWER SUPPLY USING A SCRAP NOTE BOOK CHARGER

DC Power supply is an indispensable part of any design. Notebook adapters are cheap, of good quality, compact and with output power ratings around 80W. You can even find several of them in the hidden corners of the house, scrapped from old notebooks. It would be great if I could use them for my designs. But unfortunately they have weird output voltages like 16V, 22V etc. whereas I need 5V, 9V and 12V.

Display speed – LCD and TFT (with STM32)

You must know the display speed, if you intend to display things while your process is running.  Displays are generally slower compared to your uC and other similar processing components. Ignoring the time needed to display your data may result in failure. In cases where you implement interrupts in your process, this issue becomes more complicated.

STM32 Based Desktop CNC – Version 2018

Last year (2017) I decided to develop a Desktop CNC as a support tool for my hobby electronics. Once I started to have the first prototypes, it became a main hobby item itself  with its never ending more and more improved versions.

I did not develop a Mach3 compatible interface, instead, I tried to develop a smarter device that directly accepts Gcode commands and executes them.  We need to send it Gcode commands line by line. To do that, I developed a “streamer” and HMI of CNC that runs on a PC.

INTRODUCTION and SCOPE

Mostly only one or two of printed circuit boards are needed by hobbyists when developing a new device. When these boards are simple, so that they can be realized on a single sided PCB, I used to make them using photoresist spraying and chemical etching methods. I also tried to use photosensitized dry films and toner transfer methods. But none of them were practical enough, I was spending a lot of time and effort to have a PCB on my assembly table. Finally I decided to take another route: Engraving copper lamination of the blank PCB using my desktop CNC.

Accessing Touch Panel resistors of a TFT Display

How to find and use them (FOR NON ARDUINO USERS)

Chinese made TFT Display !  You can not get any support, but low cost compensates that. Here is the help !

2.4″ TFT ekran, dokunmatik

Terminals of two touch sensor resistors, one in X other in Y direction are connected to 4 pins of screen. These pins are shared with TFT display signals. Life is easier for Arduino users who just plug and go with “Arduino compliant” products.

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ

Hobi amaçlı ya da prototip devreleri genelde “bir” adet üretiyoruz. Tek yüzlü bir PCB olarak gerçekleştirilebilecek kadar basit bir baskılı devre için günlerce siparişin teslimini beklemek ya da optik/kimyasal yöntemlerle uğraşmak can sıkıcı oluyor.

Geliştirdiğim masa üstü CNC pek çok çalışmamda olduğu gibi bu konuda da imdadıma yetişti. PCB üzerinde su yolları ve adacıklar arasındaki izolasyon hatlarını ince bir oyma ucu ile keserek çıkarmak pek çok duruma uygun bir yöntem. Bu yöntem hobi ve prototip çalışmalarına büyük kolaylık ve hız kazandırıyor.

ESP8266 WiFi Controller

ESP8266 tabanlı WiFi controller

Bu benim ilk yayınım olacak, hadi deneyelim bakalım.

Eğer postam Türkçe ise , olabildiğince İngilizce terimlerden kaçınıyorum, zira ne idüğü belirsiz bir dil kullanmaktan nefret ediyorum. Buna rağmen, yeni öğrenmekte olduğum blog tekniği, anahtar kelimeler, arama motorlarının kriterleri vb derken zorunlu olarak öteye beriye İngilizce kelimeler katmak zorunda kaldığımı gördüm. Postayı yazarken sürekli izleyen SEO diye bir araç var neyin nesiyse, sürekli uyarıyor birşeyleri düzeltmem için. Ben de sözünü dinliyorum dolayısı ile.  Zamanla bu sorunu aşacağımı sanıyorum.
